Kids finally come home...to the zoo.

So back in the Summer we decided on a slow day that we would go to the zoo thinking that it might be a cheap and inexpensive day trip where the kids can see lots of new things. Turns out it's cheaper to buy this family pass, because according to the zoo everybody has 3 people in their family. Well after I almost passed out from having to purchase a yearly family pass we soldiered on.

Brayden in the Budgies exhibit, not to sure if he thinks the bird might turn on him.

Alex posing with a Budgie...

Tyler with a Budgie, notice the hand on the him and the displeasure on Bryaden's face. To elaborate the kids were all nonchalant about who got the toothbrush dipped in seeds. Well after the birds started in for the food, they quickly realized how much time they actually had to "hold" a bird. Nazi's I tell you, we bought 2 small brushes for 4 kids for 4 dollars a piece. This episode only lasted for 5 mins. That's like the Nazi that puts candy and toys by the checkout line in the stores...oh your day will come marketing man, your day will come.

Caleb feeling a little sluggish (yes I know it's a snail, but what am I supposed to say? He's feeling snailish, see not funny, that's why I don't listen to you)

I read back through some of my old posts and realized that I had forgotten to add in another funny kid story.

So for those that don't know too much about Tyler our oldest, when he was a baby up to about 5 he had raging ear infections, which also caused his speech to be delayed. This resulted in many mornings where he would crank the TV up to about the level of a movie theater at 7 o'clock in the morning so he could hear. This also produced his speech to have an advanced (as I call it) child accent (think of little rascals, spanky).
Anyway he was playing football for the second year and was about 7. There was a fellow teammate who was talking a fair amount of trash to Tyler, but Tyler being Tyler just smiled. We were running this drill where he absolutely laid this other kid out. In football terms: de-cleating, annihilation, domination, I mean this kid was rolling around on the ground trying to figure out which way was up.
At this point Tyler comes backand stands over the top of him (with genuine concern, a heavy child accent and very loudly) says "Ah rue ahwight?" (Translation : are you alright)
Everybody heard it and I have never had such a hard time stifling laughter.

Been awhile
